►Rear suspension bushings keep the wheels pointing straight while absorbing the little vibrations and bumps in the road. Eventually, their rubber will deteriorate, leaving you no choice but to replace them. In that case, replacing the rear control arms is your best bet. The bushings are pressed into the rear control arms, so replacing them requires a hydraulic press. Instead, replace the control arm for a cheaper and quicker solution.

The rear control arms are simple pressed steel pieces with rubber bushings. When the bushes wear, they'll make the car's back end unpredictable and twitchy. That's dangerous in any situation, so replace them with new OE pieces or use the opportunity to replace them with performance-oriented aftermarket parts like those from Hotchkis. The Hotchkis arms are tubular and adjustable, providing superior strength and more adjustment for the toe and camber. Polyurethane bushings also provide less give in the suspension for better control in the corners.
