Sean informs you that the coolant temperature sensor on your truck may have gone bad, and will need to be replaced before your radiator fan begins to operate like normal again. (GM Coolant Temp Sensor Part Number: 12608814)

If this doesn't fix the problem, most likely your thermostat has also gone bad. Shortly after replacing the coolant temperature sensor on our truck, the problem came back, and we decided to replace the thermostat. Once replacing the thermostat, we have had no issues. 🚨 Note 🚨 - If you have replaced both the sensor and the thermostat and your truck continues to have this issue follow the steps below: 👇

1. Remove the teflon tape used on the sensor. This can sometimes cause the sensor to read improperly, so it's better to not use it.

2. Disconnect your battery for ten minutes. This will reset your trucks computer and let it read your new components correctly.

Remember, this is at your own risk. These steps have helped fix multiple trucks but is not guaranteed to fix all every truck. We recommend having your truck diagnosed by a professional.
