I visited a game meat vending machine this time. Game meat vending machines are quite rare! In Japan, game meat isn’t as mainstream as beef, pork, or chicken. Of course, there are some enthusiasts who love it, but I think there are quite few who eat it regularly. This was actually my first time trying deer and boar meat. Wakayama Prefecture is a region surrounded by mountains, which makes hunting prevalent, hence the availability of game meat.
