On April 27th, 2002, Shannon Briggs would take on Jameel McCline, in an all-New York heavyweight matchup under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden!

Briggs the former lineal heavyweight champion, was set to prove he still had gas in the tank. McCline was the up-and-comer, and a name like Briggs was just what he needed to propel his name into title contention.

Two heavyweights going head-to-head and laying everything on the line is all a boxing fan can ask for.
