A customer contacted us about coming out onto Hells Revenge to help him get his SXS off the trail. He said he had broke it on Hells Gate Obstacle and just couldn't make it out over the last couple steep climbs. So we ran in to help him out. I thought we would be pulling him up the hills only so I didn't take my trailer(insert ominous foreshadowing). Once there he said he only had 1 wheel drive, and the front end was broken and he wasn't sure what was broke. So he asked if I could carry it out. I agreed even though I don't like carrying the narrow Sxs's out like that. I figured it would be fine. We got to a steep fine covered in Sand. As we were descending the SXS slid to the side and panicking the customer stayed on the brakes allowing it to slid further (not his fault, this is all a different kind of thing people aren't used to, and the responsibility falls solely on me). It fell fairly softly into the sand. So we unhooked and flipped it back over as quick as we could. We continued carrying it out to the parking g lot and got them out.
