In Bruges is not a film that could have been set anywhere else. It is a setting that is baked into every aspect of this movie and in this video, I aim to untangle all the different ways it can be interpreted.

Some scenes from the film are distorted to get around Youtube’s content ID system. I’m not currently sure if there is a better way to resolve this, but this is my solution for now. If a scene looks too zoomed in, or its cut weirdly and doesn’t match with what I’m saying, this is likely why. I have tried to minimise these edits as much as possible and still have the video be viewable.
