Coco Jones says "ICU" is about the "push and pull of being in a relationship where the circumstances have changed." That’s a mature perspective for a 25-year-old. Then again, the multi-hyphenate talent has lived quite the full life. Her career kicked off as a child Disney star, best known for her role in the movie musical ‘Let It Shine.’ A decade later, she’s adeptly balancing both a music and acting career. When she’s not playing the iconic role of Hilary Banks in Peacock’s ‘Bel-Air,’ Jones offers up richly flavored R&B via Def Jam. Fans loved her “Double Back” video, which was inspired by ‘Two Can Play That Game,’ the 2001 rom-com starring Vivica A. Fox. It’s yet another example of her double threat skills. Both that one and “ICU” are from Jones’ ‘What I Didn’t Tell You’ EP, which arrived on November 4. “ICU” has been all over our R&B charts this year. Fans won’t be surprised at how effortlessly she commanded our studio cameras in a performance of the hit, but we will surprise them with another performance on the way soon.
