Blue Ridge Cabin Home is one of the true bluegrass classics. I remember playing this song at the first bluegrass jam I ever attended, while in college in NH, and it's stuck with me ever since. The song also pays homage to the great state of VA, which has long been a home base for the Stringdusters. It's high and lonesome with that mid-tempo 'drive' that so many of the great bluegrass songs are built on. Few standards have been played more than Blue Ridge Cabin home (aka BRCH), and it was an obvious choice for this record.
