New MG4 EV full review - the cheapest 300 mile electric family car. But is it any good? Jonny - like a lot of electric car enthusiasts - has been keen to see whether this new ground-up MG can credibly take the fight to the VW ID.3, Cupra Born and veterans like Renault's Zoe and Nissan Leaf.

Thanks for stopping by The Late Brake Show.

This is a near 300 mile EV that starts at £25,995 (minus any gov grants). Two battery sizes are available - 64kWh and 51kWh (the latter has a WLTP of 218 miles), with 7.9 and 7.7 0-62 times respectively. MG are throwing thew gauntlet down to Kia and Hyundai with a similar 7-year warranty, but they are styling the MG in a way which could make the historic brand desirable once again beyond the bargain hunters.
