This video will teach you the basic movement pattern of the Flex Offense and a few basic scoring options you can run from the pattern. The Flex Offense is a patterned offense typically run against a person-to-person defense. I don't recommend running this offense against a zone defense.

This offense is really effective with teams that can set good screens, have patience on offense, and read the defense well. There are so many options available from the basic pattern.

This offense does take some time to learn and to perfect. Coaches, make sure you want to commit to learning and teaching this offense over a period of time. Once your team learns the Flex pattern, it's great fun to execute and watch it unfold, often leaving defenses confused. Even if you don't plan on running this offense, it's good to know how it works in case you come against it. Chances are pretty good that you will eventually.

Coaches should and do change their defensive strategies to counter your offensive tactics during a game. Many times, an opposing coach will change their defensive strategy to employ zone defense. In that case, you'll need to change your offensive strategy.

Learn and keep this offensive strategy in your arsenal so you can force your opponent to change up their defensive tactics!

This offense against a person-to-person defense and is great for teaching youth, club teams, junior high, high school, and recreational teams.

If you have recorded video of your team executing this play or any of the plays you've learned from my channel and would like for me to do a YouTube video review of your team executing the play, please email me at:
