In February 2023, it was confirmed that the series The Terminal List was not only updated with the new adventures of James Reece, but also expanding its own TV universe with a new spin-off show. The Terminal List season 2 will see the return of Chris Pratt, and fans will find out what's next for James Reece now that he's on the wanted list. In addition to the second season, there will also be a prequel spin-off series focusing on Ben Edwards, who will once again play Taylor Kitsch. Chris Pratt and Jack Carr expressed optimism that the series would progress.
The second season of The Terminal List will be an adaptation of Carr's next novel, The True Believer. The second book in the series follows James Reece living in Mozambique as a wanted fugitive who is returned to government service after a series of terrorist attacks make him a valuable asset. Recruited by the CIA and granted a Presidential Pardon for his actions on The Terminal List, James Reece returns to action, traveling the world to fight a deadly new threat for which he is perfect. The terminal list was noticeably different from the book in the first season, and you can expect it to be the same in the second season, but True Believer gives an idea of where the season will go.
