The world's largest Volksfest looks back on more than 200 years of history. There are many great stories about Oktoberfest but also dark chapters. Around six million visitors from all over the world come to the Wiesn fairgrounds in Munich for the festival. Beer flows in the beer tents, and the amusement rides at the fair are always busy. It's an annual event, but some pages are missing in its history. The festival has been canceled 26 times due to wars, inflation, and most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic. We find out how it all began, highlight disturbing elements from the past, and discover the secrets of its appeal to young people today.
