Since stumbling across “A Ghost Story” for the first time a few months ago, I have not been able to get the film out of my head. The movie is methodic and delicate in the way it conveys themes of death, love, time, sentimentality, and many others. The entire spectrum of life’s intricacies is delicately yet powerfully displayed; at times making you laugh, and more often making you cry. Many ideas are put forth – both explicitly by the supporting characters, and implicitly through projecting our own life experiences – and as a viewer we can lean into what appeals and ponder the things that don’t.
