I've been dreaming of visiting Falkirk Wheel for over a decade. It was on the cover of one of my textbooks in University. It looked so sci-fi, it took half the semester to believe it was real.

When I arrived in Scotland it was the first place I went. That wasn't a pub. An Uber driver happily drove there from my hotel in Glasgow, only to find it was a one way trip. No taxi pickup in Falkirk. Had plenty of adventure finding my way home, including a bus driver chasing me down yelling "Tennessee boy! The train station is down the hill and to the left!" Loved the people, and loved the accents.

Was surprised to find Falkirk Wheel was the centerpiece of a nature spot. From the park in the video, hiking and cycling trails spider out though forest and hills to old historical sites and a few newer ones. Everything was full of life, people on their way to another day adventure. I can't wait to return and take my time with it all.
