Game 2 starters Mike Cuellar for Baltimore and Jim McGlothlin for Cincinnati as the Reds look to even the series after the Game 1 loss as Baltimore seems to go no wrong as Brooks Robinson shows why we became the series MVP as he continues his sparkling defense at 3B yet again. the Reds have an early 4-0 after the 3rd inning including a HR from CF Bobby Tolan the but the Orioles comeback with a run in the top of the 3rd and 5 runs in the top of the 3rd including Boog Powell's 2nd of the series. Johnny Bench hits his 1st HR of the series in the sixth but the Orioles relievers Tom Phoebus and veteran Moe Drabowsky pitch solid in the last few innings giving up just 3 hits as Dick Hall come in the 7th inning (reliving Marcelino Lopez) to earn his first save of the series as Phoebus gets the win (1-0) an Milt Wilcox gets the loss (0-1) and the teams move on to Baltimore with Orioles 2-0 game lead.
