🎥🎵 Revealing the Unseen: Deadpool 2's Unforgettable Opening Musical Number! 🎬🌟

Did you know that Deadpool 2 had an incredible musical number planned to kick off the film? Most people are unaware, but today I'm going to show you the previs that I created for this epic sequence that unfortunately didn't make it into the final cut. 🎶

When David, the director, first approached me for the project, he had a clear vision: he wanted the movie to start with a showstopping musical number. He shared his rules and guidelines with me, and we embarked on this creative journey together. Our mission? To have Deadpool don some earbuds, burst into song, and entertain the audience like never before. 🎵

After brainstorming, we settled on a Bjork song as the perfect fit. With my talented team, we delved into designing the number, crafting every step and beat with precision and enthusiasm. To ensure a smooth filming process, we scouted various locations, exploring neighborhoods and alleyways to find the perfect spots to bring our vision to life. 🌆

Now, here's a fun fact: we had zero permits for this shoot! We embraced the rebellious spirit of Deadpool and filmed the entire sequence in just eight hours. Inside the store, we captured the footage in under 30 minutes, with the store clerk graciously allowing us to use his space for a brief period in exchange for $300. Talk about creative problem-solving! 😄

Throughout the shoot, we encountered some interesting encounters with customers, most of whom had their unique quirks. Whenever someone entered the store, often colorful personalities, we had to hit pause, step to the side, and let them carry on with their shopping or mischief-making. It was an adventure, to say the least! 🎭

We had an absolute blast shooting this musical number, and it's a shame it didn't make it into the final film. But that's the nature of movies-sometimes incredible scenes end up on the cutting room floor. Nonetheless, I'm excited to share this previs with you, offering a glimpse into the creativity and joy that went into planning Deadpool 2's opening extravaganza. 🌟
