Responding to a question on whether the BJP has become an "election-winning machine", Nitin Gadkari said that "every politician thinks about winning the next election". He said that when he came to Delhi (as BJP president) he was told that he won't be successful as he wears "pant-shirt" and "not dhoti". Gadkari said that "change is natural" but the BJP's vision is clear that the party is above the person.
