The Azores are a central group of islands (Grupo Central) in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean between North America and Europe. This film contains the aerial views of the four biggest and inhabited Azores islands of the archipelago: Terceira, Pico, Sao Jorge and Faial. The island of Faial was first discovered in 1427 by the Portuguese. Faial Island or Fayal is an island of Portugal in the Atlantic Ocean and is part of the Azores islands. The Capelinhos Volcano is the westernmost point of Europe. The main city of Faial is Horta. 15,000 live on the island. The half of the population live in the town of Horta.
