• Firstly the high achievers who have achieved what they wanted in their careers but it’s leaving them feeling a bit empty. These people often ask themselves … “Is this it? Is this what I have worked so hard to achieve?” They still put in a lot of effort because they don’t want to let their people down & feel like they should be grateful for the opportunities they have or the job title they hold.
• Secondly are those leaders who are building or scaling a Purpose driven business, they know what they want to achieve & why it’s important to them but are struggling to create the impact they believe they can make as a leader.

Why are so many leaders struggling with creating impact?
This ties in a lot with what we as humans ultimately want & you can read what most leaders say about this in the next section. However, there’s one additional point. We are not educating people on how to harness their unique abilities or the human skills of collaboration, communication & creativity. Ultimately the skills we need to lead people effectively are not yet built into our education so are only learned through life experiences or our own curiosity to learn about ourselves & others. And since we often teach children it is selfish to focus on yourself this holds many people back from investing too much time exploring their own abilities. This limits their effectiveness in connecting with others & maximizing their contribution – as per the Impact Leadership model below

I have spent a lot of time talking with Business Leaders & hear that most want to create positive change in their business & contribute to making the world a better place!

However, I hear that most of them spend a lot of time thinking about everyone else & often lose sight of themselves & their own needs along the way. Unfortunately, to be able to contribute the most we need to know how to look after ourselves & how to use our unique attributes to create an impact!.. this is not selfish.

But similar to the oxygen mask analogy; you need to put on your own mask before helping others.
