This week we helped get a trench through a massive piece of Granite for a large power cable on a huge remote farm property. No need to cover the shot out here, just get well out of the way! Anybody that has ever done a bit of blasting will well know that not every blast goes right first time and the rock does not always do what you want it to, despite strong encouragement! We got it all out in the end though.

I know that there will be several comments along the line of " you have a bit machine with a breaker, why did you not just use that, why did you waste time blasting it bla bla?" Listen up, this digger is a Hyundai R 320 LC 9, weighing in at 32 Tonnes (big and strong), have a second look at the point on the breaker. It looks like an old lipstick, it was new and sharp only a few hours ago! We have lots of rock here that kills big breakers. The only reason that it was effective after the blast was because the rock was full of stress cracks.
