the show "succession" is seriously brilliant, i think it's among the best shows i've seen from the last two decades and it's certainly become my favorite show; everything, just everyyyything about it is pure perfection - acting, cinematography, and the writing especially - jesse armstrong is shakespeare come again. i could talk hours and hours about how clever the dialogue of the show is, in this fight scene of tom and shiv in particular - i've had it on repeat every day since the episode "tailgate party" first aired. so if you've not seen the show i give my wholehearted reccommendation, because it truly changed my life!
thanks again for all your support guys ❤️❤️ i know i often trauma dump in these descriptions lmaooo but i'm not gonna do that this time!! i hope you like this edit as much as i liked making it (though the process brough me to tears a couple of times); "strangers" by ethel cain is currently the song i have on repeat because it's sooo powerful and so devastating (if you follow me on twitter, or now known as x, you could witness me posting the lyrics "am i making you feel sick" at least a thousand times in the last five months lol); and i think the theme of cannibalism which is present in it can very well be connected to tom and shiv's dynamic; the game "bitey" that they play in 4x06 is literally the perfect metaphor for their relationship, and the way they destroy each other; their love is often violent but in a way it's fine because they both accept it; "strangers" is much darker than that, but there's still a strong connection to be made there, and that's what i tried to do in this video
