What started out as a cool, cloudy spring morning – a perfect morning for a hike, ended up being a rain-soaked retreat to our car before reaching the end of the trail. But we did enjoy our outing and appreciated all the sights and sounds of spring in bloom.

Background:
Our two-and-a-half-year-old Norwegian Elkhound, Skye, loves our hikes at Dungeness Trails. Here, trails traverse for miles through open fields and woods, and follow along the bluffs and banks of the Dungeness River. Hunting, running, digging, climbing, cooling off and quenching thirst in the river and the irrigation ditch, greeting people and dogs – a perfect world for Skye, and her owners!
