This isn't the RWD Japan-market Crown some were hoping for, but it shows that Toyota still thinks there's a future in the "full-size" sedan market. It also shows, however, that models need to be international to justify their existence. So, gone is the North American-only Avalon and the Japan-only Crown. In their place is an all-hybrid, all-AWD sedan that'll be sold in both locations.
