In this video I set up a 10 X 10 Oilskin Tarp in an A-Frame configuration to have some coverage from the rain that eventually made it's way to my camp just after dinner and coffee.
Didn't bring much water with me as I was very close to a lake. Started a fire with flint & steel to boil / disinfect and began cooking. It was a great meal!
Big gust of wind rolled into camp and brought the rain with it. Quickly dropped and staked out the other side of the shelter and climbed into my sleeping bag. Temperatures only got down to about 28°F overnight. Not bad considering the Military Black Bag is rated to 10°F.
The next morning was pretty relaxed with a fire, coffee, and some quick breakfast listening to the birds. Packed up and headed out to hike the 2.5 miles back to my vehicle.
