Exposure is a song written about some of the many ways in which musicians (and all freelancers) are asked to do things for free using the dreaded offering of EXPOSURE in place of payment. We’ve all experienced it and many of us have fallen for the seductive idea of BEING SPOTTED and probably will fall for it again in the future, hoping that this time it might just be the one! (FYI It NEVER IS). If we had a verse about every version of the same request then this song would be at least 10 verses long!

Covid 19 has made things even harder. Many of us have moved our performing onto the internet, which for the most part is unpaid. And, if you include the learning and purchasing of new technologies, even more time consuming than actual gigging. And of course it is all a desperate bid to catch a scrap of that bitter dream of EXPOSURE. 🙄
