This guy was a Goodwill find back in April 2021 and when I first got him, he was only $2.69 which was such a epic deal worth of finding this small, common blue boi.
He’s in great condition with no yellowing and appears to work great with no issues as well which is wonderful. It also has a normal pitch too which is quite cool since my first Blue 2005 I-Dog Pup is high pitch and my second Blue 2005 I-Dog Pup is extremely low pitch in my collection, so its actually pretty awesome to have three of these in different pitches not gonna lie! You might also notice there’s a initial marked on the bottom of him that someone who once owned him wrote and it says “H.O” or something which is odd, but I was able to get most of that off but there’s still a little left of that marking on him though as I might leave it like that for a longer while since it shows how well loved this one was by someone else who had it before I do now since I found him at Goodwill, and it brings a special childhood memory too.

Here’s the video of the time I got this exact I-Dog Pup when I found him from Goodwill which was the same one where I found a few other I-Dogs before:    • Testing A New Blue 2005 I-Dog Pup! (G...

This is also my third one as I do have a first and second one(s) of this exact I-Dog. Really glad to have this one, especially the shiny blue color it has and the unique Dance Riffs it plays. It’s also quite common to find just like all of the 2005 I-Dog Pup colors produced are just like this blue pup still is.

Basic info: This is the Dance 2005 I-Dog Pup that plays Dance Riffs and flashes all lights Green. It was the third color of the 2005 Pups produced and has groovy dance tunes. It plays a total of 12 Riffs which is divided into three remixed riffs in each mood it has except sick. The Blue 2005 I-Dog Pup was released in mid 2006 along with the other three 2005 Pups (Pink, Silver, and Black) after the success of the Original 2005 I-Dog selling really well and it was the time when Hasbro officially announced that the 2005 I-Dog Pups and the I-Cat were in the making and to be released in stores back in 2006 which definitely sold really well in the past years of the popularity of the I-Dog rising more and more during the early 2000s. The 2005 I-Dog Pups were all available for quite a long time in stores which was in the years of 2006-2008. The Blue 2005 I-Dog Pup is common to find just like all 2005 Pups are, especially based on how well it sold back in 2006 when it was first released. Also, the 2005 I-Dog Pups were released in stores after the Japanese Sega I-Dog Minis which were released in Japan in early 2006, and the Hasbro Canadian I-Dog Minis (that each had a little bit of different functionalities) in late 2005 and were more of approved ones with a try me switch and a little more functionality than what the Minis had which Hasbro made more complete for the 2005 Pups during the release of them all. Fun fact, there is also a Blue 2007 version of this I-Dog Pup that is almost the same color and is hard to tell but here’s how to confirm if the Blue I-Dog Pup is a 2005 or 2007 one. For 2005s, they say 2005 in the bottom of their chin, they’re a little more lighter in color, much more shiny, and flashes all lights green in which to match the music style or riffs it plays based on the Original 2005 I-Dogs that were also like that but with personalities. For 2007s, they say 2007 in the bottom of their chin, they have a lining design on the bottom of the nose like all 2007 Pups have, they’re more darker in color, less shiny, and flashes the outer lights red and the middle light green which makes it more colorful and different than what you see on the 2005 Blue I-Dog Pup. This only occurs for the Blue Dance and Pink Pop Pups since there is two different versions of those ones from 2005 and 2007.
This shiny blue pup is always ready to move and groove to your tunes whether it’s dance or a different genre type of music you play for her, and isn’t even shy about that. Turn up your music loud, and watch her dance along to it and will flash her green lights to the rhythm while getting it down to the music playing. The I-Dog Pups have fantastic musical skills, despite being a tiny puppy I-Dog, and plays very good riffs to describe how he/she feels by how much you play/take care of it by giving attention (double nose clicks) and plenty of music it needs from you! Perfect for those who are a big fan of Dance just like this I-Dog Pup plays them in it’s own special way.
