My printer stopped feeding paper into the copier/scanner paper feed. It turns out that a small rubber piece fell off the paper roller assembly of my Brother MFC L-6800DW. Rather than replacing the roller assembly, I attempted a fix using rubber band material glued to the roller assembly. The rubber material provided the grip needed to allow the printer to function once again. Should the problem occur again, I can always order a new assembly. This DIY fix, though, required only 10 minutes, one rubber band, and a few dabs of super glue. I fully expect this fix will outlast the remaining life of the printer.
