In 2016, while residing in LA, I collaborated with actor/writer Chris Labadie to create this scene. The initial spark for this short emerged during a forgotten brainstorming session at a local coffee shop.

Chris Labadie introduced me to Christopher Sheffield, a talented director and DP with an impressive portfolio across town. His involvement elevated the project significantly.

To complete our team, I enlisted the help of my friend Chris McMillan for sound. However, McMillan's role expanded unexpectedly when he stepped in as our editor last minute. This collaboration allowed me to actively contribute to the final product, benefiting from our close friendship and easy exchange of ideas.

Given my limited access to hardware at the time, McMillan's expertise was invaluable. His skill set far surpassed what I could have achieved on my own.

Our filming location shifted from searching for open fields in various parts of LA, like Castaic, due to concerns about permits. Eventually, we settled on our hometown of Murrieta, specifically a field that had served as a backdrop for numerous past and future projects.

In this remastered edition, I focused on enhancing the overall audio experience with background ambiance adjustments. The editing approach involved subtle splicing for a refreshed tone. While working with the original raw files, I aimed to maintain the authenticity of the dialogue by making minimal alterations.
