If you have a new Mac or a new Magic Mouse, you’ll need to connect Magic Mouse to Mac before using it.

This is the example same process for any Mac, from iMac, MacBook, or Mac mini and MacBook Air.

First, make sure your mouse is charged. Then slide over the button on the back of the mouse.

Now, jump into your Mac and make sure Bluetooth is turned on. Magic Mouse works via Bluetooth with your Mac.

It should recognize your mouse. Click connect and you should be able to get started using your new mouse.
