This is a longer format video that covers the fundamentals of setting ignition timing PLUS a bunch of extra helpful tidbits. This is specifically for minis with MECHANICAL advance distributors but the skills you'll learn are applicable to other cars as well (just be sure to check your manual for the recommended timing settings for your engine/camshaft setup). If you have a modern car with an ECU to handle timing advance, this video will also teach you how to set base timing for that.
