It's took me by a huge surprise when it was announced only a few days ago that we were getting a new Poppy Playtime game! But it sure is a welcome surprise! Though it's not made by the core development team, it was still done with permission and backing from Mob Entertainment and thus is an officially licensed game for Roblox set in the world of Poppy Playtime.
The game offers a short experience with hopefully newly added levels by the community in the future. It can either be played singlelayer or with others and up to 10 players. I first tried to record a multiplayer match as I thought that would be fun, but it was so hectic and chaotic that it did not make for a very pleasant viewing expeirence.
And thus I decided to play through it singleplayer to hopefully convey how the game works. And the game is actually surprisingly fun. It definitely is a better experience with maybe a friend or two who you can communicate with, but basically you are tasked with exploring various areas and collecting key items while beig chased by Huggy Wuggy. Since you can often only carry 1 or 2 sets of items, co-op is well rewarded. It was great to see all the official Poppy Playtime art and mascots and it fit well on the Roblox engine. I hope to see more of Poppy Playtime Forever in the future and then I will definitely archive it once more when it has had a sizeable update.
