On a rainy day, when I was feeling a little too heavy, I went to the fire exit of my building to escape reality and hide from all the noise. I was in an endless loop, stuck.
As I gazed out the window, my eyes fixated on a wastewater stream. The narrow passage was clogged with debris, hindering the flow. However, as the rain poured down, nature took its course, swiftly clearing the stream and restoring its vigorous flow. It made me want to be like that, to flow, to be like water. I wrote this song called ‘Behne Do’ to tell myself that everything will eventually settle down and things will flow. Maybe my plans may fail but I won’t because I won’t stop trying.

"Behne Do '' is an emotionally charged and sonically expansive song. I feel it’s different from my previous work but still retains the essence of who I am as an artist. The song’s been written, composed, and sung by me and produced by the talented Aditya N., known for his work on the Netflix show 'Class'.

‘Behne Do’ is the third release from the upcoming 'Women of the Now' EP under the label ‘ffs.’, Times Music. The 5-track EP, releasing on March 8th, 2024, has 4 singles by extraordinary women artists – Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Utsavi Jha, Akanksha Sethi. I’m glad that I’m the 4th one. Also, there is one collaborative track that has been composed and produced by Sagar Dhote and written by Raghav Kaushik.
