and how I'm slowly getting it back baby!

A lot of you have reached out to me via Insta about loosing your love for music, or another type of passion that turned into a job that you now struggle to enjoy. Some even gave up music altogether.

I thought about doing that too, I thought about just being a vocal coach and finding another passion.

But I still want to sing. I still love singing, just me at home with my piano.

So how did I get back my mojo? (or am on the way)

Well loads of therapy for one. 😂 Took me a lot of coaching with @tarryne.west.coaching. I think we met weekly for nearly 2 years. She helped me to see that there was no point sitting and waiting for my passion to come back to me: I had to go out in search of my passion. ❤️🔥

So what did I do on the journey? - just BTW this is over the past 5 - 6 years. I didn't do all this like last month!

CUE TRAVELLING MUSIC..... (I have the intro to star wars in my head)
I got into 2 accapella groups - stayed with one for 2 years, one only 6 months (they were insane and bitchy)
I tried out a several jam sessions (Not really my thing)
I went to karaoke - (yeah, loud bars aren'T FOR ME)
I joined a band - Still in said band 2 years later - won't be much longer.
I went back to music lessons (2yrs) - piano ❤️
Went back to guitar lessons (3 yrs)- realised I really dislike playing the guitar now.
I forced myself to attend loads of auditions - got into the ZAV.
I went up for the voice (yes the TV show, no I didn't make the TV, I got cut in round 10 😂)
I started recording at home - well I started, I keep crying in the middle of my recordings, we are getting there.
I started a YouTube channel - have yet to post but I have 3 subs.
I started singing on insta - that is helping me heaps. Tiny snippits
I started singing at weddings, why not? see if my passion is there? - will stick to it for a year and see.
I got a personal trainer (maybe my passion was lost cause I got a bit fat?) - 3 years on, fitter than ever.
Joined a musical company again - like the way I started in Hamilton in 2000

All in an effort to actively see what would stick. ✨

In this episode I discuss he status quo at the moment in my journey and how I have started to get my love for singing back.

I have a few fabulous guests all lined up for you!
