This trail is the steepest trail in NC, with a sustained pitch of 31.21 degrees over its 1,250’ length. While it is indeed quite steep, it is pretty wide and usually groomed making it much easier than other trails out west with comparable steepness.

Catch Whoopdeedoo on a powder day or fresh tracks in the morning and you’re sure to have a good time. Be cautious as this mountain faces skiers east, so late afternoon once the sun sets behind you this trail can turn quite icy!
