For Veterans who live near Emporia, Kansas, access to VA care is now one step closer. Veterans can meet with their VA providers through video telehealth technology in a private appointment room at the American Legion Ball-McColm Post 5. The state-of-the-art appointment space is one of several ATLAS (Accessing Telehealth through Local Area Stations) sites nationwide. ATLAS is part of VA’s Anywhere to Anywhere initiative — which works to better serve the more than 9 million Veterans who receive care through VA, no matter where they live. Veterans with long commutes to VA facilities or with limited access to internet connectivity can utilize this space to speak privately with their providers and receive the care they need.
