While Alaska has some of the richest fishing waters in the world, the majority of our guests come to experience the amazing and untouched beauty Alaska has to offer! We offer daily adventures and excursions to all our guests! Some of them include:

Hiking
To really experience Alaska, it’s best to get out and explore it on foot. We have plenty of local hiking trails of all skill levels to get up close and personal with the area’s mountains, rain forests, meadows, and wildlife.

Whale Watching Tour
Pybus Point Lodge is a whale lovers paradise. From April to November hundreds of humpback whales inhabit the waters near Pybus Bay. Our guests see whales' bubble net feeding and breaching as they enjoy feeding in the Alaska-rich waters.

Kayaking and Paddleboarding
We have kayaks and paddleboards available for use daily. They are a great way to see and experience Alaska and our bay features beautiful scenery and wildlife.

Brown Bears and Wildlife:
Pybus Point Lodge is located on Admiralty Island National Monument. The area is also known by the native Tlingít people as "Kootznoowoo," which translates to "fortress of the bears." Admiralty Island is home to an estimated 1,600 brown bears one of the world's highest density brown bear populations — that's more brown bears than the Lower 48 combined!

Tracy Arm Fjord
Enjoy a day exploring Tracy Arm Fjord surrounded by razor-sharp cliffs lined with waterfalls. Highlights include the Twin Sawyer Glaciers, bright blue icebergs, and an array of wildlife including bald eagles, harbour seals, and mountain goats.

Tide Pooling
Alaska has some of the highest tides in the United States. Tidal highs and lows can reveal a world of underwater sea creatures including jellyfish, starfish, sea urchins, crabs, and more!

Hot Springs and waterfalls
Take a trip out to Baranof Warm Springs where you can soak in mineral-rich warm springs. The nine pools reach temperatures from lukewarm to 124 degrees and are located against the raging water of the Baranof river.
