Let's look at how the arcane mage operates. Together, we will grow an organic understanding of the basics and be able to incorporate those basics into most any spec variation you choose. I have been a mage for about 15 years now, favoring arcane. I also have several max level mages, all arcane. I have two main arcane mages that I play, both of which can easily tackle a Mythic Keystone level 20, so I feel as though I'm an authority on the subject of arcane mages.
