A box of Polaroid 60 watt true soft white incandescent light bulbs. These were originally sold at the Christmas Tree Shop for $1.69, I suspect sometime in the 90s. The bulbs are an unusual shape, far more round than a typical A19 bulb.

Polaroid was a photography brand, focusing on products like caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaameras and film. I've never seen light bulbs under the brand before. The box admits the bulbs were made by The PowerHouse Group and that the product has more or less nothing to do with the actual Polaroid brand.

I cannot comment on the longevity, but all other aspects of the bulbs seem completely satisfactory. The light output is as bright as you would expect for a 60w bulb, the color rendering is correct, and the quality of light is excellent with no flicker, no startup delay, or any other undesirable properties.

I paid 3 dollars for this box at the Goodwill, for a total of 5 of the original Polaroid bulbs which have probably never been used, and 3 additional ShopRite 100w incandescent bulbs. I'm surprised this was not marked at a dollar, typically the sale price of the stuff there is less than original retail, not more. Regardless, it was still an excellent deal as you can hardly buy 1 incandescent bulb today for 3 dollars.
