A 90-second look into “Arts in Edu-Action” in action! Meet teaching artist Hill Werth as they lead LDSB intermediate teachers through their creative process. Werth and the teachers met in May 2023 at the Kingston School of Art (KSOA) so teachers could learn new artistic techniques that could be shared with students. In June 2023, Werth visited participating teachers’ classrooms to assist in guiding students through the techniques.

“Arts in Edu-Action” is a new program partnership between the LDSB and KSOA created to help build intermediate teacher capacity and confidence in facilitating the creative process through arts-based training and peer-to-peer support from community-rooted teaching artists.

Other teaching artists included Emebet Belete and Abby Nowakowski.
