Our historic virtual town hall on the Crenshaw Mall Redevelopment on May 9, 2020. The first community meeting in response to the news that sent shockwaves across Black America when announced on April 29th: that CIM Group had signed an agreement to purchase the economic center of Black Los Angeles, the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, better known as the Crenshaw Mall.

In the virtual town hall, which was filled with education, information, inspiration and activation, Crenshaw Subway Coalition unveils two major announcements: 1. a historic coming together of community-based and community-centered developers with over 200 years of experience in financing, acquisition and developing projects locally and across America; and 2. the development of a community stabilization fund to acquire homes and apartment buildings around the Crenshaw Mall to place into the Liberty Community Land Trust.
