On Planet Vegeta, a Saiyan child was born with an unremarkable power level. He was small, frail, and the child of two low class Saiyan parents - Bardock and Gine. While five years earlier, a Saiyan was born with an abnormally high power level that fluctuates to completely unprecedented amounts - the Saiyan infant we’re talking about - Kakarot - is the exact opposite. Sometimes Kakarot’s power level would drop to zero and when it does his hair would change to red. Little do the Saiyans know, this child is tapping into God ki for brief moments - the undetectable power that is only found in use by the deities of their Universe. With basically no notable power level and a seeming genetic defect - Kakarot is still sent to Earth where he would be found by Grandpa Gohan, bump his head, and further suppress the godly power.
