As my background is in classical singing and opera, I find most popular music, with its interminable drumming and ghetto blasting volume, dreary, monotonous and depressing. But Dolly's music is different. She is an instinctive, composing genius, with a sweet voice and confident singing technique, and blessed with rare interpretative insight. This song in particular is worthy to be ranked with the best classics of Schubert, Berlioz, Bizet, Verdi et al.
