One of the top K5LA's out there found its way leading a late Amtrak #3 in early July 2023. It being a Sunday with less traffic on the freeway I had to drop a mini chase from Riverside to Santa Fe Springs. This sucker still sounds great!

The 816 was set out in Albuquerque a few days prior due to mechanical issues, it was added on point back in ABQ to this Amtrak 3 to head to Los Angeles for repairs.

Running right in front of the Chief this morning was NS 4257 leading an S train to Long Beach, pretty decent catch!
