This video provides a short description of Systems-centered therapy (SCT) as gained through personal experience. SCT is a form of group therapy based on the Theory of Living Human Systems developed by Yvonne Agazarian. In my mind, what makes SCT one of the most brilliant theories I have come across is its clear, structured methodology which allows individuals in a group to undo their defenses and instead access a deep felt (embodied) experience of their authentic emotion (impulses, etc.) in a manner that is both rich and deep, but also contained, grounded, and clear. In doing so, members also have the chance to connect deeply with other members who are sharing a similar experience, so that any experience explored in the group is explore TOGETHER and never alone.
