In this video, I am going to show you how I can butter using a water bath canner and also a pressure canner.

I melt the butter in a large pot. Once it is melted I place it in hot jars, put on hot lids, and place them in the WB canner and/or the Pressure Canner. I have used both methods with success. When the time is up I remove the jars and place them on a towel. I let them cool down a little, grab a towel (they are still hot), and start shaking the jars. I continue to shake the jars up until the jars are completely cool. The butter should be solid, not liquid. You have to shake and shake for a while. This is the most important step when canning butter. I love the taste of canned butter- it has a great flavor.
