I try to use a General American English pronunciation for all the placenames in this video.

The placenames for the seas I use are generally taken from the International Hydrographic Organization's 2002 draft.

The placenames for islands are also generally taken from the same document.

Those placenames that aren't in that document are taken based on usage. If I can find several maps by searching online that reference a particular placename, it is good enough to use. If, for something like "the Sea of Sardinia" I can only find very few attestations, I don't think of it as being something that I can justify referencing.
