The 1970s and 80s are culturally considered very wild and colorful. At that time cars were still supposed to be individual. But manufacturers were unable – or unwilling – to implement many fresh ideas of the time. Sometimes they failed due to the so-called NIH syndrome (more on this later), sometimes due to a lack of courage or simply due to lack of money.
