An incensed HGV passenger held up by Just Stop Oil (JSO) protesters blocking traffic scolded them for wearing clothes manufactured from oil.

About 20 eco activists dressed in orange Hi-Vis vests and holding banners assembled in the middle of a road near Blackheath, south-east London, from 8am this morning, as part of the group’s slow walk protests across the capital.

Footage shows a standoff between demonstrators holding signs saying “End the fossil fuel era now” and a queue of lorries jostling to drive around them.

One HGV passenger, whose vehicle was forced to inch into another lane to get past the protesters, rolled down his window and said: “What are your clothes, what are your shoes, mate? Rubber! Made from f*****g oil!”
