According to screenshots obtained by Show Me The Money Club, Lyft appears to be following Uber by asking passengers to submit a copy of their ID. But will this actually keep drivers safe? ⁠

In case you missed it, in response to security and safety concerns, Uber is currently running a pilot program in a handful of cities, including Chicago, where riders have a blue checkmark next to their names to indicate that they had their ID verified. ⁠

But Uber is not actually preventing unverified accounts from taking rides with the service, they’re just allowing drivers to skip those rides.... ⁠
