"Human! Don't tell me what's right or wrong!"
Another duo with the bro dude, Horangi (AKA Colette Master). This is an idea I've had in the noggin for quite a while. We wanted damageless though, there's so many factors that make it incredibly difficult. We were both happy with this take so that's what matters!

Check out Horangi's channel!:    / @horangitiger

Before I start, I want to mention if you are doing duo's of your own, I strongly recommend having a shot caller. (Mainly for tracking the boss and knowing who they're targeting and casting what.) This boss in particular has a tendency to target a player, teleport and cast to the other player, mixing up the defence game. For reference, the spell will focus the first player targeted.

Colette (Horangi): My job in this fight is to set up combos for Lloyd. Usually, I'm going to be using Ray Satellite-Torrential Para Ball to stagger Yggdrasill for an extended period of time. However, I have to be very careful about my positioning and when I'm using my artes. I don't want to knock Lloyd off axis with my own movement since that will make his attacks miss. I also don't want to knock Yggdrasill off axis with my artes which can also make Lloyd's attacks miss.
Once I get the combo going, I generally just stand a safe distance away and try to complement Stoven's combos with my artes. I like to use Pow Hammer to try and combo with his Tiger Blade. If I use Torrential Para Ball at the right timing and angle after Hunting Beast, I can make it so that Yggdrasill does not get knocked down by it (this isn't very relevant after he takes some damage as he stops getting knocked down). If Yggdrasill starts guarding, we tend to just beat on his guard until we guard-break him. Even if he's guarding, we still do damage so it's fine.
From a defensive standpoint, I need to look out for Death Eater and Yggdrasill Laser. For Death Eater, I have to look at where he's facing to see if he's targeting me and then run if he's looking at me. For the Laser, I use Damage Guard. This is the safest way to block it since I can do Damage Guard-Spell cancel-run to dodge the Laser-Death Eater combo if he uses it. I also need to be quite conscious of who Yggdrasill is targeting with his spells, since I'm not resistant to any magic here.
When Yggdrasil uses Time Stop, I just stop him by using Unison Attack and we decided to use Pow Blade (Tiger Blade + Pow Hammer). After the Unison Attack, I just start hitting him right away to re-apply his Overlimit. After a few more combos, the fight should be over.

Lloyd (Stoven): Mirroring Horangi, my job also involves setting up and syncing with Colette (Since Yggdrasill is fully resistant to Light, Colette has to go full physical). Because I am P2, I have to be weary about my axis positioning and collisions with P1, ensuring Colette gets good angles to dodge Death Eater. I also don't have Dash or Winged/Jet Boots due to rocking an Amethyst and Reflect Ring (In case I mistime a Ground Dasher and also exploiting that sweet dark weakness). Due to this, I have to make a running start and jump every time Death Eater is targeting me. Psi Tempest comes in handy when jumping Lasers and makes Ground Dasher a joke (Though being P2, the camera can find ways to put you in a 50/50).
One thing we both found out is Yggdrasill doesn't have a knockdown state once he starts using Ygg Lasers (Instead he ascends for a moment then descends, continuing his AI pattern). This means as a duo, we have to count the hits and chains and find out when to back off (also knowing when is appropriate to trigger OVL). If you mistime your hits to trigger it, use Psi Tempest to get out of that. (More times than not, you're safe... unless he Lasers or uses Death Eater). When time stop kicks in, you can dodge by timing a jump into Psi Tempest but it's safer to have P1 use the unison. Afterwards, repeat loops and dodge his bs then the fight is yours.
